The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission from the seller. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go to the store directly. Commissions are how this site pays for its own hosting and keeps the guides free.
Which programs
As programs are joined, they will be named here. This site is being set up to participate in retailer and manufacturer affiliate programs, which may include Amazon Associates and direct programs run by laser manufacturers. Any program we actively use will be listed on this page.
How picks are made
- Recommendations are based on manufacturer specifications, owner reports, and value for the money — researched before any link is placed.
- A product cannot pay its way into a guide, and a higher commission never moves a product up a ranking.
- If we wouldn't steer a friend in our own shop toward a machine, it doesn't get recommended here, affiliate program or not.
How links are marked
Guides that contain affiliate links carry a short disclosure note near the top, and affiliate links are marked in the page code with rel="sponsored nofollow" as search engines require. Links to our own Etsy shop (TheUnrulyMaker) are our own products, not affiliate links, and are labeled as our shop.
